REAL ID

REAL ID Information

There is a new form of identification you will need to present when traveling domestically. The new identification will require residents to present a REAL ID-compliant document to fly in the U.S. and enter certain federal facilities under federal law. You can get a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state ID from the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. Starting Febuary 1st, 2026, if you do not have a REAL ID-compliant ID then you will be charged $45 to verify your ID through the TSA ConfirmID.

What Travelers are Saying!

A much better option than Detroit or Lansing. Someone here posted a comment on the TSA people being friendly. I 100% agree with that. Like all of us, I have to be courteous and nice, even when doing my job. Nice to know they are, too.
